Nicoleta listened to me when I explained my situation regarding my inability to receive adequate pain management. She went out of her way to call my PCP, get a pain management consult, get the pain management team to see me and ordered the appropriate meds. All within a few hours. I became tachycardic and she noticed it before I did. Although I was asymptomatic, she called the house officer, got me a 12 lead EKG and a 500 L fluid bolus. I've never had cardiac issues, although my pain and respiration rate may have contributed to being tachy. She still was concerned and took all appropriate measures. I've worked with a lot of nurses and have been the patient of quite a few nurses as well. After a while, it is possible to figure out who wants to be a nurse for all the right reasons. This nurse is one of the most empathetic, devoted, dedicated and dutiful RNs I've ever had the pleasure to meet. As a patient, it is a great feeling that someone is actually listening and is so observant. I feel well taken care of and safe when she is my nurse.
