After so long of many struggles in life, Nicolette made me feel like my voice was heard finally.
Nicolette is very special. She is a huge power force of encouragement, bravery, and love. During my stay at the hospital, she made sure the patient and their rights came first even when the patient was stubborn, she still helped and was always supporting them. As her patient, she tended to me both physically and mentally. Not many have the time to actually console people mentally due to the workload and stress in her line of work. But she did for me deeply. She heard my every struggle and the constant blame I put on myself for my condition and assured me every time things would get better and to not rush them. To especially not blame myself or put myself down because this was out of my control.

What I will take away mostly from my stay was her standing up for me. After so long of many struggles in life, Nicolette made me feel like my voice was heard finally. She made sure I felt comfortable as a patient and never made me feel like I was anything more or less and because of her charisma even when I cried and was giving up. She got me back up. She gave me a sense of life again when I felt so lost and like I finally mattered. She made my stay in a hospital for the first time in my whole life enjoyable. I have always been to hospitals but being in her unit and care, just made me give life a second chance and I thank her for pushing me and motivating me to stand up for myself even when I'm scared. She taught me to love myself and to not let myself get mistreated both as a person and patient and that is rare. That is why my nurse is so special. She is wise, funny, and most of all courageous. She is someone I hope to be moving forward in life and overall as a person because she has impacted me to be strong even when there are many barriers against you, still fight because someone will hear you.
