Nicolle is so special to me and will forever hold a special place in my heart! I was a first-time mom and was not expecting my baby to be admitted to the NICU. That walk through those NICU doors to get admitted was so gut-wrenching and heart-shattering. I was extremely emotional, and tears were flowing; Nicolle could not have handled me and my emotions any better. She was always there for me, making sure I wasn’t alone or felt alone, and comforted me in times of need. She hugged me and held me until I felt a little better and had calmed down a bit, and that compassion and caring spoke volumes to me. She has no idea how much of a great impact she had on me.

Even when she had other patients to care for, she never forgot about me and my sweet baby girl. She always came back and checked on us. You can tell that Nicolle really cares and that it is way more than just a job for her. The way she cared for me and comforted me made me feel that we really knew each other, and it was like having a best friend comfort me in a time of need. I can’t put into words how much that meant to me, and I can’t thank Nicolle enough! The way she cared for my baby girl was as if she were her own. It was so special, and the sweet little pink tie blanket Nicolle found for her and gave to my baby girl was so much appreciated. When she grows up, I will be sure to tell her and show her pictures of the wonderful nurse who took care of her and gifted her that sweet blanket.
