I wanted to make sure that I recognized the wonderful staff you have at St. Joseph’s and how much their kindness meant to our family! R and A contracted Covid while A was 8 months pregnant, they were both admitted to St. Joe's. A had a c-section and their first child together, P was born. A and R were able to return home but P needed to stay longer. I can’t imagine how hard as a parent that must have been for them both, but they were able to return daily for feeding and lovings to P and when they were not there they knew and witnessed the utmost in the care provided by your nurses!
Jessica Harder was their shining star, she went above and beyond even checking up on them when she was off duty, she made sure they had everything they needed, and even made four beanies for P. R had gotten sick again and Jessica even rolled R down to the ER, amazing display of dedication and care.
Kim Carson was a very positive nurse, there were obvious concerns when P was born a preemie, she helped to normalize the situation and provided much confidence to these parents. The two Angelas (Hergert and Smith) in NICU were both great at giving extra attention and loving P when her parents were not there, taking her on extra walks at the hospital, and taking and providing pictures for them.
These nurses not only displayed their knowledge but also genuine care for this family, this sets them apart and I hope they may be recognized for their outstanding service. Please share my kind words and sincere gratitude. At a time when nurses, doctors, and hospital staff are exhausted from this pandemic, your staff truly shined and for that a million thank you’s for the difference they made for our family!
