I came to Dubai from the UK and was a medical tourist at BRMS where I saw a doctor and a nurse. They were both very good. The whole experience was very worthwhile for me.
I am young and quite conscious of the obvious lymphoedema in one of my ankles. I am very sporty and active and therefore concerned how this may affect my ability to run and the range of movement within my joint. I was unsure of what to expect and nervous about coming to a clinic in Dubai. I need not have worried - Nielsen was warm, friendly, compassionate and kind. She greeted me politely with a smile that immediately made me feel at ease and more confident. She made me feel like she had all the time in the world for me.
Throughout my treatment, she explained the cause, treatment, and management of lymphoedema very well and so respectfully. I felt like the only patient in the world. It was clear that she was an expert in her field and she imparted that knowledge very professionally and clearly. Nielsen gave me her card before I left and kindly let me know I could contact her with any questions, which was very helpful especially as I was traveling back to the UK shortly after.
I have never been given so much information and good advice about my Lymphoedema previously. Nielsen's communication is excellent and she is extremely professional. Nielsen is a wonderful asset to BRMS and a great role model for nursing and NMC - I want to thank her sincerely.
