January 2023 Honoree
Nigel Alexander, RN
Nigel was instrumental in the care of my daughter during our week here. He did everything he could to push her progress. He not only took care of the baby but also us as parents too. When my daughter refused a bottle but I had to go home he tried to feed her. He supported my husband while I had to go home to care for another child. He pushed for her to get back to breastfeeding after having a feeding tube. The PICU is a really scary place but Nigel made it feel much less scary and even gave us a sense of comfort. We learned a lot from him and while I want to never return to the PICU, I will miss Nigel and never forget him.
Thank you, Nigel, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
