The day I was admitted to the hospital, I had no hope I was going to get well. The first day was the worst day of my life. I had lots of pain. The nurses were checking on me, but I still felt hopeless.
The next day I had a different nurse. His name was Nikesh Jani. He was the most perfect nurse I have ever seen in my life. He loves his job and his patients. He was running from patient to patient; always showing he cares and checking on us. A few hours later, I realized I was starting to feel better because he gave me all positive thoughts. I had a strong hope that I was going to do better. I am so glad I had Nurse Nikesh that day and very thankful for everything he did for me.

At the end of my shift, I had a major issue with a leaking drainage pouch. As Nikesh took report, he did not bat an eye but jumped in to help resolve the issue. It took us at least 30 minutes but would have been longer without his help. The patient and I were so grateful for his willingness to help. Thank you, Nikesh!

Nikesh has great nursing skills to help his patients avoid uncomfortable issues. I had a drainage pouch that leaked and sometimes "exploded" when too full. He made sure I was comfortable and met the need to monitor me and empty the pouch every two hours.

Nikesh Jani went above and beyond to help me get my pain under control. The pain had me to the point of losing my mind. He talked to me with the compassion of a professional. Miami Valley Hospital needs more nurses like Nikesh.

Going to the hospital is always scary. Nikesh was kind, gentle and always there when I needed help. He helped me get out of bed, clean up and answered all my questions, and I had a lot of questions.
I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you, Nikesh. I did not feel like just a patient, I felt like I made a friend. All I can say is, Nikesh Jani is a DAISY Nurse!
