Upon admission, Niki was my nurse. She literally saved my life! Niki is the true definition of an advocate. After expressing to this nurse that I felt my symptoms and concerns were not adequately understood, Niki jumped into action. She contacted a supervisor, who then contacted another doctor, who also examined me. It was soon discovered that I had a bile leak, fluid in my lungs, pulmonary embolism, and pancreatitis. I believe I would not be here if Niki hadn’t advocated for me. Niki always entered the room smiling, calm, and caring. Thank you! The Cleveland Clinic is very lucky to have you!
