I would like to recognize Nikia Foskey for the great care she gave me while I was hospitalized. She was always so friendly and alert to my needs. I have very fragile skin and take the blood thinner Xarelto. Having several skin tears while I was in the hospital, I was happy to know that she also works at a nursing home and could teach me the proper way to repair my tears. After her other patients were settled she would come to my room and work on my arms. She was very knowledgeable and answered any question I asked, or if she didn’t know she would find out the answer. The 3 days I was under her care, I felt completely comfortable and thankful. She was a step ahead of me in knowing what assistance I needed.

I appreciate that the CarolinaEast Medical Center has friendly, capable nurses to take care of the sick. She was always neat in appearance and not only was she an excellent worker but we had several interesting conversations. I enjoyed Nikia being my evening nurse while being a patient there. She deserves to be recognized not only as a competent nurse but a very caring individual.
