I spoke with a nurse in Urology about travel pay to Richmond. She directed me to travel. I was told they could not help me. I called the clinic back, and she answered. She contacted Care in the Community and was told they couldn't set up transportation; it had to be coordinated with Richmond. She sat on the phone for hours until she reached travel and the urology clinic to ensure that I had transportation. She called me and kept me informed of the steps and what needed to happen. I am so thankful that nurses at the VA go the extra mile and make sure Veterans have what they need.
