Nikki Berry, PhD, RN, CNE

Dr. Berry is always positive and energetic while teaching her students, truly caring about their success and well-being. She frequently checks in on how we are doing and offers ways to help if we're struggling. She teaches in a way that is easy to understand, using real-world examples and stories from her own nursing experiences. Taking her advanced med-surg course inspired me to want to work in an ICU and sparked an interest in cardiac medicine. I am one of her research assistants in a study she is conducting related to perinatal loss, and she is always looking for ways to maximize our learning regarding the research process. She is a prime example of servant leadership.
