My husband was admitted to STICU after being resuscitated. It was a very scary time for my daughter and me. When we arrived, Nikki was there caring for him and it seems she was with him almost constantly throughout the whole first day. She was knowledgeable and brought a calmness to us all. She was so nice and so kind to him, as well as to the two of us. There wasn't a problem that she didn't take care of and she was very reassuring. We knew she had a lot on her plate, but she never appeared hurried.
We left just as her 12-hour shift was ending and we felt that not only did my husband receive a great care, but we did as well. Nikki is an example of an excellent nurse and a credit to her profession.

My father was admitted and brought to the surgical trauma ICU. Nikki was assigned as his nurse. In the 2 days we spent with him, Nikki was by far the most caring, helpful, attentive, and savvy caregiver we interacted with.
Nikki has made a very stressful, tentative situation more manageable through her thoughtfulness and follow-through. She followed up with advising the doctor of my father's symptoms and the appropriate departments. She has been patient and kind to my mother and me, explaining things and answering all of our questions. Nikki has made a terrifying situation more tolerable and I am so grateful for nurses like her.
