Nikki took care of a patient tonight with a new diagnosis of leukemia. When the patient told Nikki about her decision to talk to hospice the patient started to cry. After consoling her, Nikki asked the patient what her favorite color was. She then went and got a prayer shawl, the color of green, and sat with the patient and prayed with her. Nikki is the type of nurse that brings joy to a patient's room whether it be laughter or a moment of prayer.
