My daughter, A, was a patient at Fairview Hospital at the beginning of this month for a 33-week stillborn beautiful baby boy. Your staff was amazing in handling this heartbreaking event. They let her make as many choices as she could to stay in some control of this unforeseen situation. Everyone was very caring towards our entire family. I would especially like to commend our night shift nurse. She did an excellent job!! Not only could she relate to events that happened over those few days, but she also made A as comfortable as possible. She sat on the bed, held her hand, explained what would happen, answered our many questions, and truly took her time to listen and care about her. She was just as compassionate during the delivery. She was so gentle with my grandson during the delivery, bathing him, pictures, etc. The cuddle cot was a Godsend. Please pass on our sincere thanks from all of our family members toward your wonderful nurses. They were fantastic during a very trying time. And please give special thanks to Nikki. She was just amazing. She made a very difficult time for our family all that much easier. She is an asset to an already amazing nursing staff. We will not forget how well we were treated during this difficult time.
