Nikki is one of the best! She goes above and beyond for each unit she has the privilege of helping. Nikki is always willing to help a staff member in need; she spends time with our hires, ensuring they know they are supported and cared about. She is an integral part of each of our teams, and we would not be able to provide as much support to our staff without her. She is always willing to help out but checking on staff and also checking on the unit directors. Not only is Nikki a great nurse and educator, but she is also one of my friends. 7 North and I are lucky to be able to work with her each day. She has recently been onboarding a new educator, to whom she is teaching all the things!! Our new hires are well prepared to do their jobs because of her. She finds time in her busy schedule to work a 4-hour shift with our new RNs to help them with their workflows and time management. She is always willing to go above and beyond to make sure they have what they need to be successful in their units and at MercyOne. Nikki has a way about herself that helps staff feel confident in the care they provide to our patients, and she wants the best for our staff and patients alike! Nikki is a caring, compassionate, and exceptional person, and we should strive to be like her!
