Nikyra Brown, BSN, RN

Nurse Brown was assigned to assist with a fit for confinement for the Richardson City Jail. I, the officer, was assigned to transport the prisoner to the hospital to receive medical clearance for chest pains.

Nurse Brown exceeded all expectations and bypassed the bare minimum by her exemplary actions as what it means to truly help all walks of life. She treated her patient with genuine care and empathy and saw the patient for the person they are rather than the situation they were in.

Nurse Brown is the embodiment of what humanity should be, and I am grateful to have had this experience with her, as was the prisoner.

What may seem like simple actions are rather hard to come by these days, and Nurse Brown is a blessing to have as a nurse, caretaker, and coworker.
