Our 86-year-old mother came to the 4th floor for comfort care as she transitioned from this life to life with Christ. This was the first opportunity in this journey with making the right decisions for her to transition. We were nervous, scared, and even struggled with what to do. Nina came into our lives and was amazing. She was awesome at explaining everything to us. Any question she was willing to answer to help us better understand Mom's care.

Watching your mom die is not easy. She listened as we cried, encouraged, and shared her own experiences with us. When someone has walked in your shoes it makes a big difference. They know your struggle. If every nurse was as kind and gentle as Nina, people would beg to have her care for them. I will be eternally grateful for her commitment to us as a family and to my mom’s care. She stood in the gap for us as she stepped in and went well past the call of duty.
