Nissa Ramirez
From the very first interaction to the present, Nissa Ramirez has always been thoughtful, caring, and intentional. When we first started in fundamentals, we were assigned to a long-term care facility. Her empathy towards her patients left a lasting impression.
Nissa was assigned to care for an older gentleman, and she was told that he was reserved and spoke minimally. After the first day of speaking with him, his demeanor positively shifted. He shared his stories with her and smiled when she approached him. He expressed how delighted he was to always see her and that she was providing his care.
During Nissa’s NICU rotation, she provided care for a critically vulnerable patient. The infant's parents expressed how afraid and depressed they were to see their baby in that state. Nissa not only provided care for the infant but also was able to address the parents' concerns and give words of comfort and assurance. The parents could see her dedication to care and to protecting their baby when they weren't around.
Nissa Ramirez is intentional in everything she sets her mind to. She has a goal to always treat patients with respect and kindness. Her quality of care leaves lasting impressions in patients of every age.
