It was my blessing to meet Njad when I gave birth to my first child. He arrived three weeks earlier than expected, and the journey into motherhood was nothing like I had imagined. I was induced for two long days, and those hours tested every part of me, my body, my emotions, and my spirit. Because it was Ramadan, and I was sharing the room with 4 different women, my husband could not stay close to me.

I remember feeling an overwhelming sense of loneliness. In those moments, I had only my breath, my prayers, and my surrender to Allah (SWT). I offered my tears to Him as prayers, trusting His wisdom and power to carry me through. It was then that Allah sent me a gift in the form of Njad. From the moment she walked into my life, I felt something shift. She carried with her a presence that was gentle yet strong, compassionate yet grounding. She was kind, considerate, and so deeply caring.

On my third day, exhausted but ready to bring my baby into this world, I finally felt a sense of peace because she was there. With Njad by my side, I no longer felt invisible or alone. She made me feel safe, seen, and respected. She didn’t just care for my body, she cared for my heart. I didn’t need to know her personally to trust her completely; her sincerity and compassion were so genuine that they spoke louder than words.

She gave me strength when I thought I had none left, and comfort when I felt fragile and afraid. Because of her, my birth experience was not only safer but also more sacred. She turned what could have been a lonely, overwhelming moment into one filled with warmth, trust, and humanity. For this, I will carry gratitude for her in my heart forever.  She is not just a nurse, she is a blessing, and she transforms the lives of the mothers she serves.

Thank you, Njad S, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
