I came to the hospital with a lot of stomach pain. I was in the emergency room first but then I came to the 4th floor. All of the nurses were fine, but when I met Nkechi, I knew she was different. She is an angel who made me feel confident. She listened to me and understood what I was feeling and, most importantly, what I could expect.
She's always smiling and saying everything is going to be fine, and that is super important when you are sick.
Thank you very much, Nkechi.

Always checking on me - whether I am asleep or not. Always gets me Jell-O as a treat. She's kind-hearted and has a very warm personality.

In today's world where everyone works so hard, compassion and empathy are a lost art. Heck, even a smile is hard to come by. Nkechi not only listened to me, I mean really listened, but she also treated me with respect and caring that was more like a family member than a patient.
This set my mind at ease and has made my stay here less about worrying and more about the business of recovery. It seems like such a small thing, but it's not.
Thank you for this, Nkechi!

I am a patient, who has great admiration for nurses. My diagnosis has been difficult. I have had four admissions in the past two weeks. I have returned to 4C three times. I have had the pleasure of having Nkechi O care for me on both admissions. The third admission she stopped in to see me.
Nkechi is kind, compassionate and shows great respect for her patients - namely me!!
Her bedside manner is superb. She stops to listen to my concerns and questions. She comforts me as I have a difficult medical situation. She supports me emotionally and delivers superb nursing care with a tremendous demonstration of nursing judgment; being great. She uses critical thinking as a top skill with assessment and care.
I was so relieved when I was transferred from ICU to find she would be my nurse today. I felt so reassured by her presence. She is truly a great and outstanding nurse.

Nkechi Oraegbu was my nurse attending me after my AAA repair surgery. I felt she was competent and caring. My needs were always met as they arose and in such a sincere and loving way. I felt great confidence in her knowledge of making sure my health needs were met. She is an asset to the SGH healthcare staff. I am very happy to write on her behalf.

Nkechi's professionalism, patience, and hard work has made my stay in the hospital be better than I thought it would be. She is such an amazing nurse and with her loving care and support through my journey to recovery, everything has been easier. She is a super-duper nurse! I'll miss her energy, her positivity, and enthusiasm that she projected every morning. Thank you for everything. You are the best!

Wow! Where do I begin? I was a patient at SGH for a week on 4C and had the pleasure of having Nurse Nkechi for at least three days during my stay. SHE IS AWESOME!! She was so kind, loving, tender, understanding, friendly and responsive to my calls when I would buzz.
During my stay, I had two breakdowns - crying spells - because I was stressing myself out from being in the hospital. And I was also stressed by my personal life with things going on at home with my son while I was in the hospital.
Nurse Nkechi walked in and saw that I was crying and she calmed me. She made time to come back to my room to talk with me about what was going on. She did everything possible to make me feel better and was definitely my favorite nurse.

Being an executive in the service industry makes me aware of when the term "above and beyond" is relevant. My RN was absolutely superb in paying attention to my requests and making my recovery a speedy process as well. She is a bubbly and vivacious personality that makes her an asset in any organization.

Because of blindness, I needed extra help and understanding. Nkechi was extraordinarily helpful and went above and beyond in making me feel safe and secure. She explained everything and was very kind and patient with me.
I have had many experiences with nurses and hospitals and Nkechi stood out. She has a heart and treated me with respect and kindness.
