I’m sending this on behalf of my son, who would like to recognize Nkeiruka Uduma (Nikki). She was his nurse on the 13th floor of Medical Surgical of the Pavilion Building. He went to the ED, had emergency surgery, and ended up with a bowel diversion, which was unexpected and very traumatic for him.

Nikki went above and beyond every day to make him feel comfortable. She got him up and walking right away, helped him with his breathing, and eased his mind when he was struggling with other medical devices attached to him. She was confident and knowledgeable, always coming promptly when he called. Her professional yet personal approach made him feel at ease. Nikki was a true advocate for him, addressing a concern about a blocked drain and promptly contacting the doctor to resolve the issue. Her care and dedication played a key role in his recovery, and we all deeply appreciate her commitment and skill.
