Niki took her time every time she needed to get my son's fetal heart rate tones. She would sit on the side of my bed and search for him and once she found him, she would sit on the side of the bed for an additional twenty minutes just to get his heart rate strip. I have sickle cell anemia and I would be in extreme amount of pain if it weren't for Niki. Niki made sure she was on time with every medication. Niki would sit by my side and tell me I would be okay. This is the reason I nominate Nurse Niki for the DAISY Award.
