It's not easy being in the ED, because you never know if this time may be the last time. This same thought crossed the mind of a patient's granddaughter who had frequently been to our ED with her ailing grandfather. It wasn't until this one particular visit that her whole mindset changed.
"With Noe Garcia's presence, I've never felt so calm before," the woman wrote in a nomination letter. "Everything inside me told me that my grandfather was going to be OK. I can easily say, I trust my life with Noe because he did everything he could to take care of my grandfather."
The woman appreciated Noe's diligence in keeping her well-informed. She never had to ask for an update and she never felt like she was a burden. She also noted he was highly organized and professional. During that busy shift, Noe managed to make this woman feel comforted and important, all while serving as the Practice Coordinator, assisting other patients, and training another colleague.
