Noel always shows random acts of kindness towards staff.
Noel is a servant-leader who continues to nurture employee engagement and a healthy work environment. He is a positive leader particularly in nurturing employee engagement and healthy work environments. He continues to master the skills of interpersonal engagement and creating trust and influence through connections with other departments. Noel walks into the department looking forward to a busy schedule but will stop and greet everyone before continuing to his office. He will stop and help anyone from the hospital who is in the department to complete education requirements. He will stop in the offices to make sure that every staff in his department is well each day and will take time to inquire if the need arises. He actively engages, encourages, and supports staff in the process to Pathway to Excellence designation process and continues on the Magnet journey. He is directly involved in the process and encourages staff through professional development, shared decision-making, well-being, quality, safety, and leadership by using a positive practice environment. He continues to master the skills of interpersonal engagement and creating trust and influence through connections with other departments. He will get enough information to share with staff and communicates effectively. He is a good listener, and also will use open communication to allow staff to air their views.
Noel is an inspiration, He is supportive and responsive to concerns of everyone and also follows up. He wants every nurse to grow through individual development plans; certifications, continuing education, committee involvement, and community outreach. He organizes high school boot camps enabling high school students to consider nursing as a career. He also brings awareness of the nurse residency program at UMC to many colleges in Las Vegas. He has the attribute of caring in the authentic nurse leadership model, with concomitant depiction as nurturing, compassionate, kind, and personally interested, Noel always shows random acts of kindness towards staff.
