Noel Ponce is UMC's inaugural DAISY Award recipient. Noel received several nominations from patients' family members and from colleagues praising his exceptional nursing skills, his kindness and compassion, and his professional attention to his fellow nurses in the midst of mentoring new graduates.
Part of the nomination from a patient commended Noel following her recent heart attack, describing how Noel kept her and her family members informed and involved. The patient also went on to say how Noel's voice had helped keep her comfortable and calm. To her, Noel is an angel.
Noel is an enormous asset to UMC's nursing staff.
