Nona by far is a nurse who puts the patient and family at ease. She is so personal that you forget all anxiety and think her weekly visit is to see you and talk about anything. Nona is very knowledgeable, and in a short time frame, she has an answer or a solution to all we ask or any issues we have.
Nona is always looking at what might come up in the next few days regarding K's care. She makes sure we are prepared, and she has all meds or equipment to us beforehand. Nona takes her time and is thorough in doing his vitals and listening for any changes in his chest (which K thinks is very important). When issues have arisen, Nona has always been there and helped us through. Especially when K needed to go to the ER for an allergic reaction.
We both believe Nona is an asset to any department she may work in. She puts K at total ease. We can say we are "blessed" to have her be his nurse. K actually looks forward to her weekly visits, partly due to the fact she is enjoyable to be around.
