My mother has been a frequent patient in 4 east for her Bi-Polar Disorder. The 4 East nursing staff is wonderful, but I wanted to give special recognition to Norma for her excellent nursing care. Norma has taken care of my mother numerous times during her repeat admissions at the hospital. My mother has developed a good patient-nurse relationship with Norma. I noticed my mom would listen to Norma's advice and adhere to treatment plans and goals. I would also wish and hope that my mom will get assigned to Norma when she's admitted to 4 East.
Norma provides kind, compassionate, and empathetic care to her patients and family. Norma would always listen to your concerns, answers your questions, and advocate for the patient and family. She never rushes you off the phone and would always return your calls regarding my mom's care. Norma would always bring your concerns to doctors, and make sure my mom receives appropriate care and medications.
I truly believe Norma is a true DAISY Nurse, she is very passionate about a patient's wellbeing and supportive of the patient's family. She exemplifies a nurse being a true patient advocate!
