Jun was nominated for his reverent, compassionate, and exceptional care of a sick patient on his floor.
Upon admission to Saint Agnes, the patient's daughter drove up from Los Angeles to ensure that her mother would have an advocate for her care.
"I am positive that my mother was blessed to receive care from Jun," the daughter wrote in a nomination letter. "I even told my husband, 'Mom has the best nurse in the USA.'"
Throughout the woman's stay, Jun made sure to take care of all of her needs with a smile on his face and kind words. He made sure to speak loudly to account for the patient's hearing loss and managed her pain right away.
"He even put a blanket on the chair to keep her from being cold when she wanted to sit!" the patient's daughter wrote. "Thank you, Jun, for working hard and caring so much."
