Nurse Norma was my grandmother's nurse for several days and also was responsible for her hospital admission when she arrived for in-patient rehab. When we arrived, Norma greeted us like we were family. She made my grandmother feel at home. Norma addressed all our concerns correctly handled all my grandmother's at-home meds that we provided and passed along specific care instructions to other care team members. My grandmother has had numerous hospital admissions. Norma was hands down the most thorough, detailed nurse we have had. She made the process smooth and stress-free. Immediately, I could tell Norma was compassionate towards her patient and her heart is in the nursing profession. Norma was warm, kind, professional, and compassionate every day she cared for my grandmother. She ensured there was not anything that we needed. She was respectful towards our needs, wants, and concerns. She was also gentle with my elderly grandmother. She coordinated with the CNA to ensure my grandmother's needs were met. She provided me with updates during shift change as to how my grandmother did at night. I knew there was no reason to worry when Norma was on shift. I knew my grandmother would receive excellent care with Norma. This allowed me to leave my grandmother to attend to errands and business. You cannot put a price tag on this piece of mind. Norma is an Extraordinary Nurse.
