Where do I start with our nurse Norma Dansak? Norma back in CTICU was seriously heaven sent. We had her several nights and the care and compassion she gave us are beyond what I expected. She loved my baby and I felt completely 100% comfortable leaving the night to go back home to my 21-month-old.
Norma always asked for my healthy 21-month-old too. She made me feel safe and understood. She truly cared for my newborn and that's something that made her stand out from all the rest. I love Norma. I couldn't thank her enough for what she gave me, peace of mind. She deserves all the recognition she can get.
In all the time I had Norma and conversations we had, she seemed like a very selfless person. Like she doesn't want or need to be applauded because she loves her job. But I am here to say that she absolutely deserves to be recognized. She really is the type of nurse you envision to have at a children's hospital, especially one of this magnitude, one of the best in the nation. I appreciate the care she gave to my newborn. I can't begin to express my gratitude for the compassion she showed knowing my situation. Thank you so much, Norma. When my daughter grows up, I'll show her the picture I took of both of you and tell her you were one of those angels who helped in her recovery.
