First of all I would like to thank everyone that took care of N during his stay. N has made many bad choices in his lifetime, but your staff treated him with nothing but respect and care. Linda, Kerri and Mady were the nurses that he had most often and were the ones that made such a big impression on him. Just the amount of care from those three was enough to bring him to tears.
N would like to send a big thank you to Kerri. Out of everyone Kerri was the one who got to him and made him really realize just what he was doing to not only himself but his family. She gave him hope, that there would be a future for him and a good future at that. She gave him hope that it is possible to overcome his demons and live a long, health, and happy life. She really opened his eyes and for that I am thankful. I would also like to thank her for everything that she has done for N. It has made a huge difference and it is something that not only I but his family can tell.
Linda was absolutely amazing. She was very concerned about N and always asked if I was okay and how I was doing. While Kerri took care of N's emotional needs, Linda cared for mine. She was always checking up on N. After N had his pacemaker placed, Linda was in and out of his room just to see how well he was doing. She even had brought in other nurses that had taken care of him to show them just how well he was doing.
Mady was very on point. She was the one that had him the day he had his pacemaker placed. She was very kind with all my questions and constant calling to check up on N. I know at times I can be overbearing, but she was nothing but kind and understanding.
You have such a wonderful team and I am very grateful. Had N been home when he had all his pauses I'm not sure he'd be there today. And I know something like this is not necessary, but I think it is important that everyone know just how much of a difference they make in our lives. They help save lives in more than one way and N will always be grateful for everyone on T6. Every time we talk about what happened he always says that he owes them a lot and that they were the nicest people he has ever met.
