I want to thank each and every one of these individuals for making my stay here at Methodist Charlton such a great experience, despite the circumstances I came in for. I came in because I had a heart attack, and after my cath procedure, I was admitted to the ICU. Luke, I know, is a new nurse in training, but he is going to be such an amazing nurse. He already is! During the night, I called him into my room because I felt like I was going to pass out, and he was able to quickly alert the team of the situation. I am so thankful for him. I remember Kathy had come in and was helping everyone stay in their roles and delegating things to do as she was holding and tapping my hand, saying "stay with me, look at me, stay awake." The teamwork was amazing. Holley was my nurse the day after, and she realized that I had not gotten any sleep because of what had happened, and I was afraid to go to sleep. She told me, "I will not let anything happen to you, I will be sitting right outside watching you, watching your vitals, and we have someone else watching your vitals at the front at all times, you need to sleep!" That was very comforting to hear, and I was able to get some much-needed rest! I also want to thank Josiah, Tanner, Bryon, and Vincent, who also took great care of me. These guys are like my sons. They came in to check in on me often. They truly cared about my well-being. I also want to thank Janneth and Yvonne, who, even though they were not my direct nurses, rounded on me constantly and shared a lot of laughs. I want the whole hospital to know about this amazing team right here, and I do want to be made aware when they receive the recognition.
