Thank you for being such an incredible team, one that exemplifies compassion, collaboration, and the true spirit of nursing. You are a shining example of what teamwork and dedication can achieve.
When I first started at Los Angeles General as a transfer from Harbor UCLA, stepping into a new role and a new hospital was both exciting and challenging. My position as a Clinical Nurse Specialist is not very common, and there were many moments of uncertainty as I tried to find my way. At the beginning of my transition into my new role, one department truly stood out: the Nursing Education department.

One day, Debra invited me over to meet her team. Everyone in the department came out of their offices, introduced themselves, and offered their help. Whoever I missed that day stopped me in the hallway to formally introduce themselves and offer their help in any way they could. I have reached out to them, and they have kept their word, providing support from connecting me with the PIO to recommending the best restaurants around LA General. From day one, you welcomed me with kindness and respect, treated me with professionalism, made me feel included and part of your team, and offered genuine support when I needed it most.

Your openness and encouragement stood out and made a tremendous and meaningful difference, and I will never forget how that felt. Thank you for your warm welcome. Thank you for being such an incredible team, one that exemplifies compassion, collaboration, and the true spirit of nursing. You are a shining example of what teamwork and dedication can achieve. Congratulations on receiving the DAISY Team award, which is very well deserved.

Message from CNO:

It is a privilege to recognize and celebrate the outstanding teamwork of our Nursing Education Department over the past year. This has been a year defined by collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to excellence. All qualities that have truly set this team apart. The Nursing Education Department has demonstrated exceptional teamwork and leadership in their work.

Together, they have taken meaningful steps to strengthen our educational foundation, enhance professional development opportunities, and foster strong partnerships across our organization. The team’s commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning, and dedication to professional development have strengthened our workforce and supported a culture where every nurse feels equipped and encouraged to reach their full potential.

The most commendable has been the department’s collaboration with unit leaders across the organization. Through open communication and shared goals, they have worked to ensure that all staff receive the support and resources they need. To every member of the Nursing Education team, thank you! Your dedication, professionalism, and teamwork have elevated our department, our staff, and ultimately, the care we deliver to our patients. Congratulations on an exceptional year, and again, thank you for setting the standard for teamwork, leadership, and excellence.
