I'd like to nominate the Nursing Education Team for the DAISY Team Award. There isn't a group more dedicated to supporting our nursing and PCT staff. This team is involved in every step of a staff member's journey - from orientation and nurse residency to annual education, product and process updates, changes in evidence-based practice, and much more.
The Nursing Education Team works tirelessly to make sure staff are prepared and confident in caring for patients. They make learning fun and engaging by using creative tools like escape rooms, mock codes, interactive crossword puzzles, jeopardy-style games, and more. The thoughtful and innovative approach helps staff retain important information in a meaningful way.
The Nursing Education Team is kind, approachable, and always willing to help. They are always happy to lend a listening ear, problem solve, or "be in the weeds" at the bedside with our PCT and RN staff. They're active in many hospital councils, working to solve problems and improve processes across the board. Their impact is felt everywhere.
It's truly an honor to work alongside this amazing team. I continue to learn and grow as an educator because of their guidance, hard work, and dedication to the PCT and RN staff.
