While I only interacted with Carissa briefly, it restored my faith in the power of nursing. Under a very difficult situation, our tiny family gathered to pay our respects, and ultimately to say, goodbye to M. My experience in critical care is old and limited, but I have been a nurse for 45 years. The compassion and practical approach used in caring for our M showed the depth and breadth of excellence in family-centered care. Our appreciation is extended to all staff, but from me, especially Carissa. It’s not easy to be a nurse, but that was not ever apparent to us. Thank you for your excellent care.

We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the compassion and dedication you extend to all your patients, especially our loved ones. It is comforting for us to know he is receiving such good care during this time when we cannot be there with him. We know how hard you all are working and thought some snacks and coffee may help you through your long shifts! Love to you all and your families.

To all the nurses and doctors that oversaw K, that tried to make a difference for him. For treating us as a couple also. Thank you, you are heroes to us. K thought you were the best. So do I. Thank you so much.

Aspirus Stevens Point Staff, thank you for the wonderful care you gave to my loving husband. This was not an easy road, and we were very pleased that you were there every step of the way. I truly did not feel alone. You all became my family very quickly. Thank you.
