Grieving my wife's death has been difficult but getting one last hug from Saba and having the chance to tell her "thank you" will help close that chapter of my life and start a new.
My wife, W, was admitted to 5C. During this stay, we were blessed more than we could have ever imagined by one person in particular, Nusaba. My wife's hair had grown tangled and matted, so I asked "Saba" if she would mind combing it. Without hesitation, she said, "Sure!" Saba took her time and was so gentle and kind to my wife. You see, we were blessed with boys, but never a girl for a child. After this, my wife looked at me and said, "This is our daughter, we couldn't have."

My wife has since passed away, and I have traveled back to the hospital multiple times to tell Saba thank you in person. She has no idea the impact her actions had on my wife and me. I care for my special needs grandson, and even he has been here with me to tell her how much we appreciate her. Saba didn't have to take the time to help W; she could've asked someone else to do it for her because I know she is busy, but I'm thankful it was in her heart to help her in that way because it has left a lasting impression on me. Grieving my wife's death has been difficult but getting one last hug from Saba and having the chance to tell her "thank you" will help close that chapter of my life and start a new.
