Octavia is the nurse for my 85-year-old sister. She represents the best in nursing and basic human kindness care. Octavia is knowledgeable, thorough, and able to communicate what she is doing for A and why in a way that is easily understandable by A and me. Octavia is gentle with A and very aware of her needs and fears. She always shows consideration and concern for the questions that we, her family, have for A.

But more importantly, to A's [questions]. Being someone who truly listens to her patients is a wonderful gift that Octavia has given to A - and to us! She has positioned A in the ways where A is most comfortable and feels safe. I always appreciate someone who works well with others, and Octavia does this and credits the work of her fellow staff. A just said, “Yes, she does that! She is a really good nurse, a really good person!” (This was said in the most forceful voice I have heard from A in the past two weeks.) Octavia truly stands out as an exemplary member of the medical profession! Thank you, Octavia!
