I would like to let you know that my son had a food procedure at the Lone Tree allergy department not too long ago, and I wanted to express my gratitude to our nurse, Octavio, for his stellar care.

My son has a few food allergies, and getting tested and knowing what foods he can reintroduce into his diet is important. Both my son and I were somewhat apprehensive about following through with the procedure. From the very start, Octavio’s warm smile and easy-going attitude made the whole process very easy.

He was excellent with my son, talking to him and reassuring him throughout the whole procedure. Octavio was very thorough in explaining the procedure and was attentive to our questions and worries. He showed us where the emergency medications were, in case my son reacted to the food, and always asked if we needed anything before he left the room. He was also very expedient when we requested water.

Octavio was very compassionate and caring. For a stressful situation for both my son and me, Octavio made it a stress-free environment. Once my son took the last dose and had passed (yay!), he was kind enough to give my son a few stickers and gave us instructions for after the visit.

I highly recommend that any parent with children with food allergies get tested and challenged at the Lone Tree clinic. The staff and the doctor were awesome, and most importantly, I would like to say many thank yous to our phenomenal nurse, Octavio! You are the best!
