Olga Loza has been in our department for many years; I want to say over eight years. Olga is the go-to person when there is a question about anything in our department. Olga is very professional and meticulous. She makes sure that everything is right the first time around. Olga knows our patients very well, so much that she is aware when something is off with them. Olga is always the first to arrive. She makes sure that everything is ready to go for the day. She also makes sure that everyone starts the day off well by brewing the first pot of coffee. I mean everything she does is perfect! You can only be this way by being here the number of years she has, and by loving what she does, and our patients. She's a great asset to have.

I remember when Olga was screening one of my patients and she mentioned that the patient was behaving a bit oddly by taking her overcoat on and off. This was something that I might not have noticed when the patient came to my exam room with her coat off. I questioned the patient about this behavior and she stated she had not done anything odd. Olga's assessment prompted me to order a CAT scan of her head and sure enough, there was a brain metastasis that was causing the change in her behavior. This led to faster care for the patient.
