...Olga took over her care that morning. The son referred to that day as “the day mama got to meet Jesus.” He said from the moment Olga walked in he knew that she was an angel. He was so impressed by the way Olga treated his mama as a person and not just another patient. The entire time he was telling me this he was sobbing.

He went on to tell me how they knew that it was the end. He told his mama “You know Jesus is on his way to get you, don’t you mama?” She nodded her head “yes.” Olga came in shortly after and offered to pray with them. They accepted and Olga said “the most beautiful prayer my ears have ever heard.” He said that you could feel the spirit of God fill the room as Olga prayed in her native language. He said “I didn’t have a clue what she was saying, but it was the most spirit-filled prayer I have ever been a part of.” After Olga was done, she went into the bathroom in the patient’s room, dried her eyes, and returned to mama’s bedside. Olga started to sing the Song of Psalms 42:1 “As the deer pants for streams water, so my soul longeth after thee…”

Once the son gathered his composure he said “it was the sweetest most reverent moment I have ever witnessed. There was mama, dying in the most peaceful way you could only wish for. You could feel Jesus standing there saying, I’m ready to take you home now.” He said very soon after that his mother took her last breath.
