I recently had surgery and had the pleasure of having amazing nurses my entire stay.
I have recognized all of them except one.
Olha on the 4th floor. She was amazing and treated me better than I hoped. She made me feel ok about having a temporary colostomy bag when she had to change it. She made it "normal" and took the embarrassment and shame away as it was all new.
Her personality and compassion are amazing and she sets a bar for others to reach for. I want to thank her for helping me physically as well as mentally.
I have my reversal surgery soon and I can only pray I am on the same floor with the same nurses.
