I would like to recognize Olivia for the extraordinary care she provided me during such a difficult day on my end. From the moment she entered the room, Olivia carried an energy that was both calming and compassionate. She made me feel seen and not only as a patient but as a person. What stood out the most was her genuine empathy. She took the time to truly listen. She didn't rush through tasks. Nor did she communicate with me like a checklist. She validated how I was feeling and created a space for me to express my concerns. She explained every step of my care thoroughly and clearly. Her availability to bridge communication gaps between the medical team. She made sure I was clear and comfortable with the plans moving forward.

Olivia is exceptionally knowledgeable and confident in her clinical skills, which increased my confidence and comfort. She helped manage my discomfort and talked me through horrible bouts of pain and nausea. She helped distract me through conversation and humor. That is the kind of emotional intelligence that can't be taught. Olivia is everything a nurse should aspire to be: empathetic, patient-centered, knowledgeable, clinically excellent, and emotionally attached. She is a role model.
