I was recently a patient at Banner Heart Hospital. I experienced some challenging and life-threatening issues and being 82 years of age - ordinary issues and problems, both physical and mental, are magnified many times more. Of the many wonderful staff members that touched my life during this challenging period of my life, one wonderful individual touched my life the most and that was Olivia.
Olivia made my hospital stay much more livable. She was attentive to my needs yet did not hesitate to enforce those needs that were essential for my safety. "You need to have me by your side - be safe!" Going to the restroom or getting out of bed were not to be done without her assistance. Olivia's love of her job and helping her patients was her guideline and that is essential for helping patients like me feel and stay safe.

I wish I could give everyone a DAISY, but I cannot. Olivia is a no-nonsense nurse and leader. When I started feeling sorry for myself, she was very direct but kind. She told me about COVID and the stages (what to expect) and she was direct but kind; a leader among leaders. Any hospital should be lucky enough to have her. I am glad she was here for me on my roughest days in the hospital.
