My wife is a cancer patient. Oliva was my wife's first nurse at the cancer center, where she was very scared and unsure of what was going to happen. Olivia is very knowledgeable and caring. She spoke to my wife as a friend and showed true compassion. There have been multiple times when Olivia has gone above and beyond, but the moment that sticks out in my head is when my wife was having a hard time breathing, and her oxygen level was dropping. She was rushed to SVMC by ambulance. She had a bad case of pneumonia. We were on the 2nd floor when Olivia walked into the room with a blanket and the biggest smile to see my wife. Olivia gave my wife the blanket and spoke to her for several minutes as a friend- not as a nurse. I just want to say thank you to Olivia Sandquist!
