Olivia V Borromeo, BSN, RN

Olivia was the first person I met during my Charlotte infusions, which I do twice a month. She made the whole experience better, and I’ve seen her 3 other times and each time, she showed compassion and care. She explained everything well and made the experience less overwhelming. I often faint with needles, and Olivia made sure I was comfortable and that she took all the precautions needed to ensure I was ok with what was going on. She is always successful on the first try, getting a vein. It often takes others 2-3 tries when I have blood drawn anywhere. Olivia shows not just compassion but knowledge and efficiency. I always feel more at ease when I know Olivia is there. Once, I was starting to faint while having my IV inserted by a different nurse, and Olivia, who wasn’t assigned to me that day, saw what was going on and came over and helped recline my chair and get me a cold compress and some juice. Olivia is a great example of what is needed in a great nurse.
