Onalisa Shackleford, RN

Onalisa went out to a car that had an unresponsive patient in the back of the car. She began assessing the patient, who she found did not have a pulse. She began giving CPR outside of the vehicle. The patient’s family was visibly upset, but Onalisa was able to calm the situation and continue CPR until help arrived from the ED. She is always going above and beyond for her patients; she is a joy to work with and jumps in to help at any time. She is an asset to our ED family and embodies what it means to be a DAISY Award Honoree.
