I started treatment with this team in June and I have to say they are an amazing team. Every time I have come in for treatments, I have witnessed the team going above and beyond to care for all of us undergoing treatment. Kim, Betsy, Lisa, and Taylor are amazing nurses who demonstrate the mission, vision, and values of Wellstar. They make sure you have everything you need while getting your treatments, and they even made sure I was near the bathroom since I needed to use it frequently. Victoria is a great Care Partner who is on top of everything. She made sure I always had everything I needed for head cooling. Sarah the nurse navigator has been so helpful and supportive during this journey, she checks on my sister and I each week. The PAS staff are so friendly each time we check in, and they let my sister come in and out as she always goes for a walk and to the store during each treatment. I cannot tell you how much these amazing ladies have meant to me as I have been coming in for treatment. They are so encouraging and supportive. I do not know if I could have made it through without their compassionate care. They were very encouraging when I told them I was going to get a wig (cranial prosthetic) because you can’t color your hair for 6 months after you finish chemotherapy, and you can’t color it while you are getting chemotherapy so it will be a year by the time I can color my hair again. Sarah made sure I got a prescription for the cranial prosthetic so that my insurance would cover it, and she made sure I had some peanut butter cookies that she had made.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the infusion center at Wellstar West Georgia, but I am so grateful I transferred my treatment there from another facility, as they are closer to my home. As a Wellstar employee at another facility, this team made me feel at home and I cannot thank them enough. I am getting my last chemotherapy soon, but will continue with immunotherapy at West Georgia. The infusion team was there cheering me on as I rang the bell, and they let me continue to surprise them with my different colored cranial prostheses, lol. I thank God every day for these “Angels” that have taken care of me. The office staff and Dr. T are amazing, and I am thankful for their care and support during this journey.
