I have been a patient here for 26 years but last week experienced my first drug reaction. Kinda scary- difficulty breathing/shortness of breath, tightness. The entire team: head nurse, several staff RNs, 2 pharmacists and 2 oncologists calmly spurring into action. I knew I was in fabulous, competent hands (their heads were working really well, too). Awesome teamwork with IV meds; most of all the reassurance that everything would be FINE (and it was!!). They work amazingly well as a team- supporting each other in a milieu that feels quite Zen. 18 beds but you'd never know how busy they truly are. I feel blessed to be lovingly cared for by this amazing professional group of men and women.
