Onzla is one of the most amazing Nurse Managers that I have ever worked with. A long time employee of the Valley Health System, she has an amazing ability to quote regulations, rules, best practices, quality metrics, and statistics at an uncanny rate. Equally good with names, positions in the hospital, and their work location for any of our 1500+ teammates make her the go-to person when we need a large scale job completed with peers from many different areas. She is tough but fair, kind yet unwavering in her approach to excellence, both for Patient Experience and hands-on Nursing care on her units. She is juggling two full units (one that was dedicated to COVID-19), our Float Pool, and our Light Duty people - and does it with humor and grace. She is passionate about her teams and training them to consistently do better and reach higher. She is well-spoken, funny, and dedicated to not only our hospital but each teammate and our patients and families too. She consistently goes above and beyond and is spectacular. Thank you for allowing me to give her the recognition for all that she gives back to us.
