Otilia Clanton is truly a kind and special nurse! She took care of my mother after she fell at home and fractured her cervical vertebrae. My mother had to wear a cervical collar and needed to have surgery. The nights before my mother needed surgery, Otilia took care of her with patience and kindness. She was in her room quickly helping her to the bathroom, giving pain meds, and reassuring her in a positive way. My little sister was exhausted spending 3 days at the hospital - she made sure on the 3rd night that she did not get up with my mom- so that my sister could sleep. She took care of my mom and my sister knowing it would help on surgery day having everyone rested. She is always smiling and patient. She makes her patients feel well cared for, never making them feel rushed. She is a wonderful example of what nurses are - kind, patient, compassionate. She is one very special lady, who puts her patients first! Ochsner is blessed to have such a wonderful nurse on their staff. Thank you, Otilia.
